Boats of Solva

Solva Harbour, Pembrokeshire, is a place like no other — a deep, narrow inlet surrounded by vivid green hills and colorful cottages, where boats rise and fall dramatically with the tides. Historically a bustling fishing village, today it carries a timeless, peaceful spirit, with moorings scattered like brushstrokes across the tidal estuary. Its ever-changing light, bold natural palette, and rhythmic tides make it a dream for artists and photographers alike.

Using my original photographs, I reimagine the essence of Solva through solarised abstraction. Creating abstract, vivid hues of boats resting and floating within this magical harbour. I transform the familiar into the extraordinary bringing colour and vibrancy into any space..
